Welfare Policy

The Organising Committee of the 2011 World Rowing Junior Championships recognise their Duty of Care to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to provide a safe environment for all those attending the regatta in whatever capacity. 

The Organising Committee have made the assumption that Team Managers have been given responsibility to act in loco parentis for the athletes in their team in accordance with UK legislation.

The Team Manager is responsible for the welfare, safety and appropriate supervision of their athletes and is expected to know the whereabouts of their athletes at all times during the Championships.

The Organising Committee have produced a Welfare Policy for the Championships. Copies of the Welfare Policy will also be available at the Team Information Centre at the course.
